Crime At Our Roots is three best friends bringing you a weekly African true crime podcast. They discuss three crime cases each episode from three different countries in the continent of Africa. They will be giving you a dose of interesting facts about each country in every case.
It all started with Monique’s curiosity for true crime podcasts a few years ago; sharing the heart-wrenching stories with besties Phyllis and Aziza. They all became hooked! Phyllis jokingly suggested that they start their own true crime podcast but about cases from our roots. A few purchases of mic’s later they started recording and never looked back. They are excited to share these heartfelt stories with the world as a reminder to always be on the lookout and remember every victim has a story to tell.
My name is Aziza! I’m a creative, I enjoy doing DIYs, and I have a passion for all things beauty related! I’ve always had an underlying love for true crime which has been brewing ever since I discovered the ID Channel, and clearly it’s far from over. I’m not afraid to try new things. I love wine, enjoy a good book and I’m always up for an exciting new challenge. If I had to describe myself in 3 words it would be innovative, adventurous, and opinionated.

90 % of my time while I’m working I’m either listening or watching something crime related, some will say its an addiction. The other 10 % of my time is spent watching or re-watching Greys Anatomy, I am a TV doctor at heart who thinks i can perform open heart surgery but can’t stand the sight of other people’s blood in real life.
